Today Dr. Pepper successfully sued the Dublin bottling plant, and forced them to cease production.

The day my childlike wonder and awe was taken from me; little salty, not but a wee tween skipping into the gas station with a pocketful of nickels to fulfill his daily purchase... a one liter Pepsi Blue. What joy little salty would take from the beautiful mastery of the Pepsi Blue formula each day was enough to share in abundance with the other citizens of the northern Arizona area...
and that fateful moment...when the third column of the second shelf did no longer hold its bright blue possession...
...a little piece of Salty died that day; moments passed to minutes, minutes to hours; the span of lifetimes and all of the collective reigns of kingdoms and nations alike stood still as his poor trembling hand reached with the hope of a shattered dream...Pepsi Blue was discontinued, never to be produced again.
Now, at the ripe age of 21, not a day goes by when salty doesn't envision that bright blue prize in his hand; not for gold, nor jewels, nor all the wealth on the planet would Salty trade the opportunity to hold that sweet nectar but one last time. Broken hearted and defeated, Salty cries himself to sleep each night in a passionate fit of obsessive compulsive delusion that he would finally be with his long lost friend again. This was the sad fate of little Salty.
You're my boy blue! I'll never forget you!

Dr Pepper Snapple will continue to produce its drink sweetened with cane sugar. The company said it will still be bottled and canned in the distinct and nostalgic packaging, but it will not be labeled Dublin Dr Pepper.
