True dat. I never really had the itch for it until everyone around me had one and I saw just how useful a smartphone can be. It also timed perfectly that my 2 year contract was coming to an end a week before they were getting rid of unlimited data at Verizon. It was fate!

Heh well I got GPS In my car via TomTom not as good as google GPS but gets me there, I got a 7D Canon camera with the 50mm f1.8 lens for pictures and video, and my PC for video games. The ability to research products instore would be great but thats all I really see myself doing. I did get a nook color for christmas which I can route to run android on it if I want to. That lets me browse the web as long as theres Wi-Fi

And yes I know everyones going to say "But langrad, not its all in one portable device!", my response, sure but every one of my things does it better (except for the GPS but thats okay dont use it to much anyway)

I have a Garmin, a Cannon, and a laptop, yet I still use my phone all the time. The best part is browsing TPG and facespace while going #2 in a public restroom.

I have the data plan for purely business reasons, though I do use it personally too... Canadian plans are terrible I get 1GB of data, 250 mins for $55/month, my wifes iphone is an extra $10/month purely for being an iphone.
