Ryan Braun's suspension overturned

Ryan Braun wins appeal of 50-game suspension - ESPN New York

So apparently his 50 game suspension has been overturned after Braun's appeal. I'm not too savvy on baseball or it's recent policy on PED's, but this seems a bit fishy. There are even allegations that whoever handled one of the samples didn't follow the chain of evidence. It was rumored that the test was positive before it was even shipped, yet somehow it came up negative in the end.

My question(s) to you:
1) How many other major suspensions do you think will be appealed and overturned because of questionable handling of evidence?
2) Should Congress play roles in policing major sports for PED's?

I think it's a black eye on baseball, and complete bullshit. He did the crime, intentional or not, but is getting out of it on a technicality. I am sure other suspensions will be appealed for the same/similar lame excuses, and some will likely be overturned, but regardless I don't think Congress should be meddling in sports as long as they are making an effort to police themselves.

Hey gave a statement in which he days if a PED had gotten into his body, voluntary or not, he would admit it and take responsibility.....so what you're telling me is that you would cheat and AFTER you got caught is when you would be honest about it....yeah...classy.

He lucked out and he knows it.

Every test he has taken in college and in the major leagues he has passed. The one test he took and failed claimed he had something like 200 times the normal amount in it.... hmmm i says. I also heard he had that amount due to trying to fight an std.... not sure if thats the case at all as I know nothing about PEDS/hormones etc...

Was it steroids or just hormones that made him fail? He's isn't meaty like Mcguire, nor has a huge swollen head like Bonds did.

I havn't had much time to really read up on much of this situation.

I am a Brewers fan, have been since I was young growing up in WI and all. Glad to see Braun back. Whether he did or not I could care less as there has been how many others that have done the same. Braun found a loop hole, or some one tampered with his sample, or some idiot didn't turn the sample in on time.... either one MLB needs to take a look at their procedure and fix it.

I lost hope for baseball... Seriously sounded like a little boy who said but I didn't do it honestly seriously dude man up quit finding excuses and serve the punishment...

Baseball is a great sport but players pretty much killed it for me...

Suck it. I hope they keep banning them, even if it includes Nelson Cruz, and causes the Rangers' offense to suck even more.
