Thread: Your mom falls

And your the only one in the house who doesnt have some sort of problem besides a knee injury that can lift her back into the house...So heres the story, My mom went out to her car to grab something trips over the sidewalk and flys like 10feet onto our concrete driveway, Elbow drilling into her ribs and knees getting cut up along the way, My dad finds her but cant lift her because hes got a bad shoulder, My sister sure as hell cant besides the fact that shes got a severe back issue shes not strong enough (nothing against women) So That leaves me, The strongest one in the family (I learned early on that i would have to be strong for my family sooo i work out as often as possible) Soooo I go outside and had to carry her up a flight of steps to get her back inside the house so we could see how bad she really was, My dad got her legs while i carried the rest, Needless to say my 85% healed knee is prolly back down to like 35% because of this, I dont care i more so upset that she fell then i am my knee, but at the sametime im in a HUGE amount of pain and wanted to share my frustrations...

Well, make sure when she goes to the ER to get checked out...you do, too. You're a good son, Mr. Incestuous Red-head hater.

Bout 10min after we got her back inside, I had the truck warming up. I used to be an EMT as well as my sister and father so we ran the normal routine checks and when we were finished it was determined that she only bruised her ribs and scraped up her knees So we decided against taking her and she decided she didnt wanna go anymore after she calmed down, She was more so shaken up by the shockwave that she had when she hit the concrete, We got her into bed with some ice and shes feeling SOOO much better now, Tomorrow is gonna be hell though unfortunately.

Nothing a muscle relaxer and some stretches cant fix, Ive had tendonitis in it for a month or so now, Did 6weeks of physical therapy for it, got it back almost 100% but still am not able to run very well/long and am not supposed to be lifting weights with it, So climbing up a flight of steps with my mom put a shit ton of stress on it again, It was hurting pretty bad, but as of right now its ok and ill just keep doing my stretches and it should go away..

Do you have a foam roller? Works wonders on the muscles.

I wish, I want one SOOO bad, I used them when i did PT felt really good if were thinking of the same thing..

They might have one at a local medical supply shop.
