2012 Fishing Thread

Great start to the season.

Large Brim on the first cast with a Texas Rigged Worm. Couple of good bass. Final Tally 105 fish. We threw back all bass over 2.5lbs. The brim we caught were all over a pound.

How large is the pond Nuckle? I'm assuming you are in a pond by the pics. That is a hell of a nice day fishing.

23 Acres, it belongs to a close friend of mine. We are trying to get it back on track. It has lost most of its structure so therefor can not support the minnow population to help the bass grow. It is over populated and we are trying to pull a ton of fish out of it this summer. Adding structure and then we hope to add in some minnows.

I have been fishing this pond for 23 years. Between 1992 and 2002 we would catch 50+ bass per summer that would be in the 7-10 lb mark. It went down hill from there.

Hell of a lot of fun though and will just about break you from fishing public waters. We caught 88 fish in less than 2 hours between 8-10am. They slacked up in the afternoon.

So I sold my motorcycle, and I bought me a new bass boat. It's a 94 Astro 18.5ft tournament edition, with 2004 Mercury 150 EFI on the back. Did my first tournament last weekend, and snapped the transducer cable on the trolling motor...was a windy, rough day. But check it, post the pics of your lunkers this year
