USFS Leaning Towards Chopping Up Conundrum Cows - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver
Twenty-nine cows were reported missing by a rancher after they wandered off a grazing allotment in the adjacent Gunnison National Forest late last fall.
Previously, the Forest Service had considered burning the cabin or even blowing it up with explosives. That approach would require an environmental analysis by the agency, Kight said.
Cutting the animals up and scattering them would be quicker overall.
"There's no way we're staying here tonight. The floor is covered," said Harris to Kay during their hike. "And he's like, 'What are you talking about?' and I was like, 'Well, there's dead cows in here.'"
"I didn't know what the heck he was talking about," said Kay.
"For us, it was quite odd. Everything was weird for us at the beginning.,” Harris said. “I mean, we're two Texas boys.”

Re: Beef Bomb
For a minute I thought this was a report from The Onion.
"Finding cattle in a cabin, frozen, is quite unusual," said Steve Segin, spokesman for the U.S. Forest Service.
