Today, my father, my girlfriend, and myself, took it upon ourselves to shave our longhaired cat. Here are the results. Also, it may look like we are being rough with her, but she seriously goes limp when we do this, I'm simply holding her in position. I love my cat, wouldn't hurt her.

wow what a friendly bunch we have on today...

My cat has very long matted fur. Once every couple of months we shave her, and she LOVES it. She is VERY friendly for the next few weeks, and she doesnt put up a fight when she gets shaved anymore. She is scared of EVERYTHING, yet she lets us do this. She genuinely likes to be shaved like that.

And regarding the poor shaving job: Within a week, her fur grows out to a point where it looks perfectly even. There is no need to be exact, plus, you try being that exact on something that fat.

And regarding the fact that shes fat, well, ya, she is fat. Some cats are fat, some are skinny. This cat isn't an outdoor cat, and shes not a very personable cat, never has been. She was abused as a kitten and we saved her from that, so shes always been too scared to do much but curl up with me at night or hide/sleep under something during the day.

She looks pissed and I mean pissed dammit.
