Not sure where it says it on the gun - may be the serial number that identifies it. Only reason I was asking about the year is that I have been looking at the 700's as well and saw online they had some trigger issues.

Did you want the 308 or did you look at others - i.e. 30/06

This link provides a table that will tell you when it was mfg.

I was looking for the 308 mainly because 2 of my best friends have them, so when we shoot/hunt we can share ammo. Let me see if I can tell by the serial.

If I am looking at the right code it is AD, which would be March, 2009.

The trigger issues on the Remington was way back in the day. They do not have those trigger issues anymore.

We're the trigger issues on the 700 as well? I thought it was only on the woods master aka jam master.

I quit hunting deer with a shotgun right about the time that my nuts dropped and my voice changed.

Well I have no intention of using it if at all for deer, just curious if anyone has had any experience with their products.
