    San Diego here I come!

Got my orders last week. I'll be on a Minesweeper based out of San Diego! It's currently deployed to Bahrain so I'll check in and fly out within a week of getting there, but after deployment I'll be in SD on and off between deployments. I get there October 12th or 13th so if anyone lives in the area and wants to have a mini meet up before I deploy that would be fantastic!

Any have any ideas on where to live? I've been told the gas lamp district is awesome and pacific beach.

This is coming from kind of a tourist type perspective, but from when I lived in the area, and you might not like Zoo's, but the San Diego Zoo is one of the best I have ever seen.... take it or leave it....

im in SD lemme know when your about, ill show you the good fishing spots.

zoo is ok if you have kids, but since sea world is owned by anheuser busch there is alot of beer gardens.

theres lots of cool stuff about and hour from sd too. you can also make to vegas and back in a weekend by car.

I've been there, and it's pretty swell. Long time ago though.

Oh and sounds awesome 619, haven't been fishing in ages, that would be swell.

its mostly salt water around here, most of the fresh water are stocked lakes which i personaly dont like. also there is tons of free fire areas for range practice, and wild boar hunting is getting pretty big, thou ive never been.

went to SD for a week once for a hardware convention. Beautiful man, weather was absolutely prefect everyday. I would recommend going to little Italy i think is what they call it. There was a hole in the wall Italian restaurant in the back of one of the grocery stores on that street. Can't remember the name but damnit all, that was some of the best authentic Italian food I have ever had.

    Have fun man

SD locol here. SD has a lot to offer. All depends what you're looking for. If you like beer, you've come to the right place. Google San Diego and beer and you'll see. Good luck and hope you like it here.

Thanks, I'll definitely look that up. I'm also looking up all sorts of food scenes as well. It looks tasty.

Gas Lamp is my favorite place in San Diego, myself. Near the zoo, next to Sea Port Village (lots of awesome shopping and eating, and a great park), and a short drive to my favorite sea food place, Point Loma Seafood.
