and things don't look good at all.
Those of you that are friends with me on Facebook have likely seen the updates on my father-in-law. For those that aren't the tldr story is he went into cardiac arrest on Wednesday, and has been in a medicine induced coma since.
The "good" news is that it happened at a local sub-courthouse, so they had an AED machine, and chest compressions and CPR started almost immediately. Those things increase his chance of survival/recovery drastically. The bad news is there is no way of knowing how long his brain was without oxygen, and what type of damage he suffered, if any, due to the lack of oxygen.
He was having seizures when he arrived at the hospital, and now every time they have reduced his sedation medication the seizures have started again. Right now we are just in a waiting mode to see if they can safely get him off of the sedation meds, then determine how to proceed.
Just wanted to give my TPG family a heads up.
