Lucas said he already has treatments ready for the next trilogy and is planning on staying on as a creative consultant. However, logically it would make sense to go past Luke Han Leia, etc. Disney wants to make money and creating a new set of heroes/villains will be an easier base to start with. I can easily imagine a scenario where after the rebels take down the empire, the power vacuum creates chaos. Endless possiblities from there. Besides, after how much grief fanboys gave the prequels, Lucasfilms knows they need to rock the house.

I have high hopes for whatever is going to happen. The cartoon they have been doing has had some pretty slick story lines so there are still plenty of people who love Star Wars and wants it to succeed.

Not sure how I feel about another Star Wars, love the franchise but I don't know.

I will say this, if anyone had to pick it up I'm glad Disney did. Both Trons were amazing.
