Re: Johnny Manziel and the Heisman
I agree that JFF needs to be more thoughtful about what he tweets and does. I've said it in another thread. CMike learned a hard lesson about twitter, perhaps JFF should go without twitter also. The pictures of him with a wad of cash and partying hard with a bottle of champagne in his hand were in poor taste and unfortunate.
I hope JFF, his family, friends, and fellow Aggies work hard to keep Manziel grounded.Last edited by Amador +JP2+; 01-15-13 at 11:24 PM.

I have to give Johnny some credit. He finally figured out what all of Texas already knew, College Station sucks.
Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M Aggies tweets he 'can't wait to leave' College Station - ESPN
Stay classy Johnny, stay classy.

Ha, that's not what he meant by his statement..
He wrote it because he gets bombarded EVERYWHERE he goes in CS (which I can totally understand)... That's also the reason why he takes online courses.

He's not hating Texas A&M. He's hating the city. College Station is about as 'small town' a city as you can get and he can't go anywhere without being mobbed and has people showing up at his house at all hours. He later tweeted he loves Texas A&M 'with all his heart'.
People have ZERO respect for anyone's privacy anymore thanks in partial to social media, but it started LONG before that with the tabloids and whatnot. Yes it goes with the territory, but people are not entitled to jack squat from celebs.

NFL talent evaluators
NFL talent evaluators: Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel has Super Bowl potential, Larry Bird instincts | Dallas Morning News
There’s a premium on the quarterback position in the NFL. That’s why Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, Christian Ponder and Ryan Tannehill all become Top 12 picks in recent drafts. Manziel is more accomplished and more polished as a quarterbacking prospect than any of those players.
Manziel may not be the first overall pick of the 2014 draft if he comes out. But don’t look for him to slide too far. The more the NFL studies Manziel, the less it will worry about his size. He plays, he wins -- and so will the team that drafts him.
