Thread: Suggestions for a Galaxy s3

Bad Piggies is an awesome game. Drag Racing is really fun too. Tapatalk is a must buy. I also got a better launcher IMHO. I like Apex Launcher much more than the Touchwiz one. I would avoid the Facebook app because their mobile website is the same thing without running anything in the background. My most used apps are Uylsee speedometer and Torque because of the amount of driving I do.

Facebook is the same yes but you can't use SVoice to open Facebook without the app or if you're hopelessly addicted you will not get the notifications without the app.

I am using Nova Launcher on a stock phone running Jellybean 4.2 (Galaxy Nexus not quite a S3 but very close) I LOVE it and it is easy to turn on and off or remove if it isn't for you. Best thing I like is I can change the number of icons per screen up to 7 rows and 7 column if I was crazy. I use 5x5 personally.

That said I have never tried any other launcher so I can't compare them really.

See I thought I was going to want to root my S3 straight away too. My last phone was a Motorola Defy that had great hardware but was crippled by Motoblur. So I rooted it and put CM7.1 on it. I was expecting to need to do the same with the S3. But Samsung seems to have seen the light on the current version of Touchwiz. It's really close to just stock Jellybean. Close enough for me to not care. Maybe later in it's lifespan I will need to root it so I can overclock it to keep the performance more like a new phone. But so far Touchwiz has been close enough to CM for me to not need to root.

I am going to get the galaxy note 2 once my upgrade is due early next month and I can't frickin wait man. I have the HTC Inspire 4G (it isn't really 4G its H+ but whatever) and I have treated this thing with a lot of tlc but it seems not to care. I think it hates me lol.

HTC DNA just popped on verizon with a quad core processor, 5 inch 440ppi screen...iphone 5 retina display has about 360 ppi. Galaxy note 2 is around 267ppi.
