Thread: Need advice

As some of you may know, I got forced onto medical leave. I was told it was for a year, but I was just checking online, and I only have to be on leave until February, which is to say that if I want to go back for Spring Quarter, I can.
Pros of going back:

• It's where my friends are
• Great professors, many of whom are leaders in their fields of study
• the only university offering an undergraduate degree in Cyber Engineering.

Cons

• Ruston fucking sucks as a town and depresses me
• the administration...no me la gusta mucha.
• I'm actually able to easily eat healthily while I'm at home in Texas, which has let me loose weight and has improved my mood a lot
• I get in state tuition if I go to school in Texas, which is much much cheaper than LATech

Either way, I will have a great therapist and a great psychiatrist. I'd need to get a General Physician for Louisiana though.

What school(s) are you looking at in Texas?

Collin College (community college for Plano) for Spring Semester (too late to get into anywhere else), and then either UNT or UTD, preferably UTD. I've also considered UT in Austin, but it's convenient to have my parents able to easily take care of me if I have a day where I wig out.

I vote Texas. Being closer to home/family, saving money, and not having to put up with the various BS you have gone through in Rustin seems to make sense to me.

I agree with Texas, I know if I had stayed at home and gone to UTA I would be long out of school... UTD is a good school and home cooking is awesome!

How much longer do you have left?

When I was in school, the last 2 years went by really fast because I took it seriously and just wanted to get the fuck out. Maybe just stick with what you know and deal with the bullshit for a while longer.

You live once. Life is too short to spend any of it depressed. That is my advice..

2 years if my class schedules line up. Switching majors to Cyber Engineering knocked off a lot of hours.

Gah, class offered only every two years next quarter. Guess it's back to Tech.

Fuck fuck fuck. I know that I do want that CE degree from Tech. The question is to go back now or go back in the Fall. I've set a deadline to decide by this Friday, but fuck if I can make up my mind. I feel like a gold digger in a diamond shop...so many choices.
