Thread: you have jury duty....

Got there this morning, sat around till 9. Finally went up to the court room a little after 9 where the judge sworn in all the jurors and asked the qualifying questions. That took a good 45 mins. Judge then sent us back down to the jurors room where we sat around staring at each other till just after 12 while they were selecting the jurors for the case. Dude came in just after twelve and told us all to take an hour and a half lunch break..... uh ok

Come back from lunch, they bring us back up stairs to the court room and they read off who has been selected. As I breathe a sigh of relief after not being selected, the judge then dismisses all the jurors not selected.

Now.... this is my fucking day off from work. I get that it's my civil duties to be here and be a juror from time to time. But, for fucks sake, make us sit around in a boring ass room, no tv's, no cell phones.... nothing for a good hour and a half while you take fucking forever to select a jury. Then send us to lunch for an hour and a half so you can still make your selections. Make us come back to the court room after lunch just to tell us 10 minutes later we are not selected!!! wtf!!! Its my day off, I could be at home sitting on my ass playing games, maybe doing some chores, or just sitting around scratching my balls!! Speed it the fuck up people!! I have ball scratching to do!!

that would definitely suck. I'm not sure how much longer I could have just sat there without making myself a bed somewhere in the room to sleep.
