Your dad doesnt check the hottub.
ndddd the control panel glitched causing the pumps not to switch on to keep the temp at 75, Coupled with 19Degree weather and snow, The hottub has now frozen and im spending my day off fixing it. This is bullshit, Its 25degrees, im cold as fucking hell, the pumps are all frozen and wont turn on, On the brightside the ice is only a thin layer across the top, So if they do unfreeze and turn on it wont blow up the heater motor and ill have a chance at saving the thing so i dont have to drain it and so my mom can have it for the rest of winter.

Re: Your dad doesnt check the hottub.
Yea no kidding, i was just thinking this myself. It wont even drain which means the water froze in the drainage pipe, and of course the hole is the size of a pea and i have nothing that will fit in there to poke the ice out, but even if i do that im afraid ill break the pipe. I know in a few days itll be about 60degrees again, but that doesnt solve the fact that its gonna snow tomorrow and the waters just sitting there, Although its been below 32degrees for a couple days now and it hasnt frozen solid yet, Is this because theres chemicals?
Also, Im in no way complaining about it being broke i hardly use it to begin with so now that thats out of the way, I thought you would have known me better by now, Guess not. Let me explain it to you, I dont take anything for granted and i dont think that anything is owed to me, I work hard for what i have and my parents havent payed for shit since i was 16, I pay them to live here and still do chores like im 12years old. Im complaining because it sucks that this happened and now im standing outside in 20degree weather around water trying to fix a problem while the wind blows at a steady 5-10mph. Next time read a little more into what im saying instead of thinking im some rich kid whose had everything handed down to him, because my parents are in no way rich, and i have had NOTHING given to me. Kthx.
In summation of that 2nd paragraph, Think twice before disrespecting me like that again. I would never complain over something so ridiculous.Last edited by Stealthyking; 01-24-13 at 01:26 PM.

Was just trying to poke a little fun Stealthy.
I actually come from the exact same place you did. Lived at home till I was 21. My dad has been a pastor at a Methodist Church since I was in 7th grade. My mom was a home health nurse for the longest time and now works at a nursing home. By no means did my parents have money. The jobs they had (which don't pay shit), and having 4 boys means little to nothing for anyone. I worked at an ACE Hardware store from age 16-22. I know how to fix a lot of different things and basically thats all I did. Didn't pay much in rent, but anything I fixed around the house, or tools I needed I bought with my own money. Lived in northwest WI at the time, did all the log splitting, snow shoveling/snow blowing, repairs to toilets, showers, sinks, electrical problems here and there I could go on and on. There's a greater sense of pride when you know how to fix things yourself, help out your parents, and save them from having to hire someone to come and do those things.
A lot of the chemicals in the water has probably lowered the freezing point of the water. That amount of water will take much longer than you'd think to fully freeze. A few days straight at maybe 10 degrees would speed the process up and freeze the whole damn thing.

Re: Your dad doesnt check the hottub.
Yea i apologize, i was just coming back in to erase that half of my 2nd post, i think the frustration got to my head and infact made me read what you said the wrong way =P My bad. I know you didnt mean any harm by it and was just poking fun, i was just annoyed by this stupid situation. Im over it now as ive exhausted everything i could to fix it besides going out and spending hundreds of dollars on a big industrial heating fan to make it all melt.
