That's the exact reason why I won't buy one....

It really sucks that the only reason it was stolen is because I wanted to sell it. I live in an area that is extreamly low in crime. Rarely do we have any trouble. This guy straight up picked me out of the paper and pretended to want to buy it.

It was insured so I will not be hurt financially but it just sucks that people will do things like that. He is damn lucky he didnt wake me or my dog up on sunday night. I have been itching to shoot my new Sig P220 .45 and that would have been a perfect opotunity.

I notifield interpol about gore, and then i stole it and sold it on ebay......huffy bikes don't get anytype of money...but i was able to buy a 12 pack of beer with the money i recieved, just so you know.


nuckle i realized that i am an idiot.......when i first saw your subject i thought you meant the atv in SF, bc i didnt read your full post.....i hope you gave the cops a full description, and consultant......lay off the dectectives, even with a full description etc its still tough to find a guy etc....especially in this type of case....but nuck id change the locks just to be safe....and i hope it all works out for you.

A friend of mine is the detective on the case and even if he was not based on where I live this thing will get the full attention of the police. As stated we live in a low crime city and they like to keep it that way. Our property taxes are close to double compared to the next highest area in the state so our city officials tend to try and keep the home owners happy. We have twice the fire and police force needed for our area. To give you an idea when I called to report it stolen there was a patrol car in my driveway in 4 minutes LOL, I timmed them. When I was remodeling my house the contractor set off my fire alarm and the fire department was on site in less than 5 min.

My friend told me that while the phone number is a good lead that it still will be a tough case to solve. They have to catch the guy in possession of the property as even though all evidence points towards him that it could have still been anyone. No one witnessed him taking it. They have sent a court order to the cell phone company for the info on the person that owns the phone and will start turning the screws on that person once they have it. It will be a matter of what info that person gives them.
