    Extracting Myself from iTunes

So my ipod has died and now Im trying to pull all my media from itunes's clutches. My only issue Im having now is converting my movies so I can watch them on my Galaxy s3. Ive tried various programs that say they can convert m4v files but they never do. Any suggestions?

I use handbrake already. Love it. When i try to source a downloaded movie that I got through itune i get a huge list of errors. Mostly around some sort of system.argumentoutofrange error.

Pardon my ignorance but what is VLC?

If you purchased the movies through iTunes then the files are protected by DRM.
VLC is a video player. www.videolan.org

Reason #1 to dump Itunes, Not just DRM, but DRM so bad you'll want to sew your lips to an asshole.
