How to pick a state to live in.
So the GF is getting out of college soon. UPS is moving me to management. We are planning to get an apartment inside of a year.
We both feel the drive to move away. Still up in the air about how far away, but other a map and using a dart we don't really know where to.
Pointers or what to consider when choosing where to go?Dispatch the DooM

Take a look at Alabama, primarily the Huntsville and Birmingham market. Jobs are plentiful here for skilled and or educated people. We are a friendly bunch for the most part and we have some beautiful country. The total package of state income tax and property tax is not that bad.

San Antonio pays decent wages for the educated , while cost of living isn't high. I think the unemployment rate here is 5.6%. If you earn a little more you can live in hill country which has plentiful views. Next to Austin , its one of the fastest growing cities in the US according to the Forbes. I sure do miss my old home Tampa FL though. Tough market.
