Yeah....cuz I guess we don't know how to make food, wood, metal, or energy. And I guess we don't have any more oil in the Gulf, coal on the east coast, or nuclear generating capacity.

If the entire world wanted to stop talking to us.......there certainly would be some societies dying off.....but we're going to be last on that list. We hide our self sufficiency becuase we can afford to do so. The INSTANT it is required of us to manufacture, sustain, amplify, mass produce, or otherwise generate a surplus of ANYTHING......we'll have it done in days. Maybe a week.

If the US stops importing......we'll make our own shit, better than the shit we import. We'll also stop exporting....and countries like China, India, and Russie will starve....to death...quickly.

You're blind, jason. We don't drill our own oil and resources for 2 reasons. And when I say drill, I mean stripmine gut that shit.

#1. It's cheaper to buy it from everyone else (which is smart).

#2. When the world runs out of oil........the we can start drilling our own (which is genius).

We have coal on the east coast enough to last for 100's of years. Literally. We switch to an all nuclear power grid (which we should) and even talking about energy is a joke......unlimited, ridiculously cheap electricity, forever. We have to PAY farmers not to grow food, and even then we still have surpluses, even after selling and GIVING it away to the world, UN, World Food Programme, UNICEF, whatever. We have gold, we have iron, we have aluminum, we have..........everything. Just like Russia. Europe is the one coming up short on resources. China can't make enough food, period. Nor can india. Russia.....maybe not either...it is a bit cold in vast parts of the country.

the only thing that can fuck up AMerica's place in the world is Americans believing our place in the world is fucked up. Enough people at the top believe that the sky is falling......and then it will fall. Because we have the power to make it do so.

So stop dissing on us all. Nutjob.
