To sum up what I said...

1. If you follow a guy around all his waking hours, and he happens to make a speech every hour or so, without previous practice, he's going to say some pretty dang stupid stuff.

2. He has handled Iraq worse than Dick handles a shotgun. He admitted it.

3. He's human, not a God.

4. He's our commander. he sees things we don't. Therefore we need to respect and follow him and his orders. (Duh).

5. You think you could do a better job, get into politics, then call me in 30 years from the oval office.

6. I would not want a raving attention whore like Al Gore, a crowd pleaser like Kerry, a hypocrite like Rudy, a campaign fund squandering lark like Edwards, or a former first lady with a chip on her shoulder in office.

Someone intelligent like Obama, sure. I just wish we could have some truely intelligent republicans (other than Newt).

I'm sad when I look at Bush, and the other recent presidents for that matter. It makes me say to myself: "So this is the best my country can do..."


My two cents. Bush isn't dumb, he just sounds that way sometimes. Like all of us.

I am going to stay out of this one just because I tend to get excited by the topic. All I will say is that I do not know of a President that did not have a group of people that did not like him and that would take and point out only the bad or dumb things that he did / does, says / said. Most of the people that hate Bush today and loved Clinton. I personally thought Clinton was a scum bag so I guess it is a thought process thing.

He is not an idiot IMO.
