Suspended for the first half of the Rice game, just so they can get on with it and get him back on the field.

So glad that this seems to finally be ending all this bullshit. I just wanted to know one way or the other. Glad he can play though, gives us a better shot.

This will hang over his head (and A&M's) for as long as he remains college eligible. The NCAA stated that if any evidence were to come to light at a later date, they would re-open the investigation; however the school won't likely be punished for any games in which he played.

In that link I posted, in the video it said they won't be able to go back and punish him for anything, unless its something new (rule violation) - or that's what I gathered from it.

The way it was presented on ESPN last night was they could go back and punish Johnny (remove his eligibility) if any new evidence came to light, but the school itself would not have to vacate any wins or anything because they cooperated in the investigation.

The good news is that the NCAA got this right, oh wait...

I understand that it's not what you know, it's what you can prove, but by that logic A-Rod never tested positive.

Or basically:
"Johnny Football is a big superstar right now, so we don't want to remove his eligibility. So we'll wait til he leaves for the NFL THEN suddenly find evidence."

Which is at least slightly better then the Cam Newton shit.
