Man that just reminded me of my first experience with the computer shut down. Haulin ass hit 119 and it just drops off. What a disappointment that was. Then i found superchips.

Another one worth mentioning is rev limiters. I cant even think of how many engines i heard get saved by that one.

The new electronic speed limiters are way less violent. Almost 0 feel to it. Nothing like what I remember out of my Z71's. Even the rev limiters are different now on higher end motors. No more voom voom voom voom in a rapid fashion. The motor just hit his peak and holds there. It's got to be due to the precision and control of EFI.

I really miss not having a true sports car or sedan. The wife's QX is just a bandaid over the itch I have. I still say impressive though a 5600lb 7 passenger battle wagon that will tow 9,000lbs, do 0-60 in 6sec, the 1/4 in 14.2 @97mph and so far has seen 135mph with no signs of letting up. All on 22" wheels in the lap of luxury with every tech feature you can think of.

Really want:
BMW M3
Mercedes E63 AMG
Nissan GTR

GTR has too high of maintenance cost so it's most likely out.

Well I was not talking net worth or resale value. Hypothetical like you have to keep it and not sell it and buy 2.5 or 3 ZR1's. same as I have no desire to own the hope diamond if I could not sell it for the cash. Get it?

Yep, I just enjoy building something with my own hands rather than shelling out piles of cash on some mass produced techmobile. Until you've done that I don't think you can truly understand the passion of a gearhead with grease under his nails.
