I was impressed by his work in the WoT. I'm man enough to admit I cried a number of times in the last book (no one give away any details so we don't ruin it for the new comers). Not many authors have been able to do that to me.

Then again I've been reading these books for 15 years so I'm a totally WoT fanboy. lol

Did anyone read "New Spring" by Jordan? I thought it was one of his better works. I was really hoping Jordan had left outlines for the other two he said he was going to write but it doesn't seem to be the case.

I would say get Way of Kings first because the second book in that series will be out soon. Then you can read the Mistborn series while you are waiting.

Never read it but I'd like to, the Legend of the Seeker tv series was good.

That series pissed me off so much. They nailed the cast and then completely fucking ignored the actual books. I watched like half of season 1 and couldn't stand it any more.

Tv series was not even close to being as good as the books. Wizard's First Rule is the first book in the series. Check it out.

With few exceptions, I've gone to only reading a series once it's finished. I HATE waiting for the next book and if it's more than a few months, always forget some crucial plot points. WoT, Song of Fire and Ice, and Harry Potter have been the exceptions. Kinda wish I'd waited on the first two now. Also never re-read books, except that JRR Tolkien series. There is just too much other stuff to read and learn.

What am I reading now? LOL, a schlocky SF series (Mag Force 7) . Light reading.

Enough wordy fantasy I am reading the sword of shannara right now so I am good on that. But does anyone know of a good Sci-fi series I can get into? Nothing to deep just something quick and full of space action :P.
