About halfway through A Game of Thrones. Love George R R Martin's writing style. Can't wait to get on to book 2

That's a great series. I'm enjoying the series I'm reading as well. Though I've always enjoyed Williams' writing style as well.

Not really READING it... but I've been listening to audiobooks lately. On book 3 of the Book of Swords trilogy by Fred Saberhagen right now.

I like it... but there's some arbitrary shit thrown in... Some divine intervention just for the hell of it it seems at times just to drive the story ahead. Never been much for gods popping in for shits and grins and "fixing" a plot because the writer wrote himself into a corner, or as a deus ex machina plot point. But I'm not done yet... maybe he is setting me up for a M Night Shyamalan TWEEST at the end... we'll see.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Books? What are those?... Recently finished (as in before I left for Brazil) my rereading of Daemon, and then the sequel Freedom by Daniel Suarez. Very entertaining books, though I think the first was better. I kept trying to start Cryptonomicon on my trip, but after having read the first 150 pages a while back I just couldn't bring myself to reread them (I think for a third time, I don't know why I keep putting that book down...)
(NC-17) Howlin: got plans for me do you?
    [TPG] ab1tar: oh yeah
[TPG] ab1tar: youre on my list of ppl to do
(NC-17) Howlin: woh abbi, should you buy me dinner first

Cryptonomicon is a great book imo, though I enjoy a lit of Stephenson's writing.

    Neil Gaimon is also terrific.

I've read the first one. Was enjoyable. Haven't gotten the others yet though.

Currently stuck on The Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged) from Penguin Publishing. I've read the abridged version before. Been trying to read it for a while, but I keep forgetting to pick it up even though it is right there on my night stand, because I started this book back around December I think.
