Re: throwing the first punch
Yes there is, at least I believe
If you’re going to play “who’s more macho”, “stop looking at my girl…” “I like your girl, Hey babe look at me” so on so on.
Then yes I think you should fight like a man.
Meaning:
Punching
Kicking
Body slamming
Spitting, hair pulling, nut shots, eye gouging etc are p$%y moves in my book
Now if you are in a predicament/ life or death situation then everything goes.
But violence is never the answer

I would never fight someone over something petty unless there is immediate danger towards me or someone I care about.
If that were the case, and someone was out to hurt me, all bets are off. Kicking, eys, groin, etc. I'm not going to chance risking my life by holding back; I wouldn't even rule out shooting them if my life was in jeopardy.
Though I imagine the scenario you are probably thinking of doesn't constitute a life or death situation.

Re: throwing the first punch
yeah i have never thrown the first punch in a fight cause i think hey i can always claim self defense but that first shot can be a huge advantage and i wonder what the legality of first punch is and same with kicking somene when they are down
i didnt get in a fight or plan to but i just wonder what to do if some tatted up punk gets in my face also how reliable is the head bunt

Re: throwing the first punch
I always tend to steer clear from fights.. but if its inevitable and the fucker is getting in my face bumping his gums, ill flat out crack his jaw while he is in mid-sentence and clean his fucking clock till he's done talking AKA knocked the fuck out.
I don't sit there and run my mouth and get in peoples faces.. I bust teeth and crack jaws before it gets to that point. I don't play games.

Re: throwing the first punch
The legality of throwing the first punch, I don´t know. I think that in some places, kicking someone in the head while they´re down is considered a crime, but you´d have to check that with someone here that´s certain.
About getting the first punch in: like I said, if you don´t know how to fight, you don´t know how to punch. Unless you know how to put some weight behind the punch (and that doesn´t mean ´I weigh 300 lbs. so there is weight behind my punch´), you won´t be damaging anything but your masculinity. And if the guy you just caressed with your fist knows how to fight, he´ll jack you up, doesn´t matter if you outweigh him by 130 lbs.
About headbutting...some fighters like it, some don´t. If it´s the only "free" part of your body, say if you´re on the mount or guard position on the ground and the guy below you has your wrists or arms tied up, then by all means, use your head.
Personal preference: elbows.Last edited by Xavsnipe; 08-14-13 at 10:48 PM.

I don't throw punches, kick, or really attack for that matter. One of the biggest mistakes people make is being over aggressive. That is when I duck, swing around behind you and put you to sleep. In this day and age stand up fighting is over-rated, no one really does that anymore. It's all about grappling.
And the plus side to that kind of fighting is you don't have to throw the first punch, you let your enemy come to you=self defense.Last edited by Mr_Blonde_OPS; 08-14-13 at 10:51 PM.
