Ben Affleck is the new Batman
Thoughts? My first instinct is to be pissed off, but I'm also interested to see what he can do with the character. I can see him as Batman, but not as Bruce Wayne. Should be a fun movie though.

Re: New Batman!?
No no no and more No. This is stupid and pathetic and Nolan should reach out to Bale and personally ask him as a favor to come back as to not ruin the image of batman.

Re: New Batman!?
I'm just gonna see a pissed off Southie from Boston in a cape. Ben Affleck doesn't have the range to be more than he's always been, be it Good Will Hunting, Boiler Room, Armageddon, Daredevil, Gigli etc. He's plays the role of the underprivileged, emotionally immature thug. That's not Batman.
Batman is a seething cauldron of hate and anger held back by the nobility of being ultra wealthy. Affleck would have to rewrite himself as an actor to pull it off. He'd have to get rid of that thick Boston accent, which he has never been able to do in any role he's played. That whiney, tinney, nasal accent that says "Bawstun" so easily. There have only been a few actors in history that could do that, and oddly enough, Ledger's Joker was such a case. I'm not holding out hope that Nolan can pull it off with Affleck.
This has disaster written all over it.

Re: New Batman!?
lol....Bennifer.
I've seen better actin' from tough actin' Tinactin.
Hasn't there been enough stuper-hero movies anyway? How about Hollywood come up with something new? Are there no better ideas than Batman 69 and Superman 47? Maybe Spiderman 34 ?
