No it hadn't. They interviewed him running to the locker room. It.was maybe 5 min and that's being generous.

You don't go chase a player down, smack him in the ass, and say "good game" because you are a great guy. Sherman freely admits he didn't like Crabtree before the incident happened. Sherman went to Crabtree to rub his face in it. He followed that up with his classy choking gesture ... I guess the San Francisco QB also hurt the thug's little feelings. Sherman wanted to make it clear to the world that Sherman is an idiot and an ass .... A thug ... no wait ... He's just a sorry sport punk. To make it even more clear to the world Sherman showed his ass two more times after the game ... and then with tweets thereafter. Smart? No ...

Crabtree didn't say crap to Sherman after the play.

You dont have to like someone to tell em good game. I dont like people and I congratulate them on their accomplishments. The dude dont like someone, he voiced his opinion. Leave it at that is how I look at it. If we voice our opinion on how much I dislike the fourty whiners (not trying to be too biased in the big picture here) then I wont hear shit for it. But I dont know, I just have a thicker skin than most and can tolerate stuff like that I guess. It's not a peaches and roses world....

The game had been over for 10 minutes. The NFL forbids any media interviews within 10 minutes of any game. It may seem like less, but it's not. This is why they immediately go to commercials followed by the booth before they go to the field. This was no different.

If they had gone to him too early, it would have been used as an excuse by him (one I would likely agree with), or NCB would have been accused of intentionally targeting him by now. Either way, it would have certainy come up in one form or another by now.

    Re: Sherman Championship Rant

This will only add to his legend. I find it funny that most commentators, news anchors, former players, anyone having played the game at the NFL level, didn't really mind his rant. At least there wasn't an outburst like there was among fans like us. We as fans expect to know and see everything, and want to see the 'extreme' and then we see it and all we do is judge. Like he said in his interview, why aren't we talking about how stupid it was for that hockey game to turn into a brawl?

Oh that's part of the game? It's as much part of the game as NFL players saying what they want in a post-game interview. Imo if you want to be the best NFL defensive player you have to have a killer mentality. This isn't paddy-cake where you pick up your opponent after leveling him. Look at Ray Lewis, Dick Butkus, Mike Ditka, the list goes on and on. So many players who were assholes and didn't give a fuck about anyone.

Though because our society is going down the shitter, we tend to blow things way out of proportion and judge the hell out of anyone in the spot light. Yea he said some mean things that you tell your children never to do as an young athlete, but not everyone is the same. Doesn't mean he should be crucified. No one will remember this 20 years from now, they will remember the play.

That is some dumb shit and one of the reasons I cannot stand hockey. It is only a matter of time before someone is really hurt and sees jail time.

still ... doesn't make Sherman any less of a douche.

    Re: Sherman Championship Rant

Having read into the situation a little more I guess Crabtree was talking mad shit all season and even last season. So that on top of him just making a spectacular play to send his team to the Super Bowl, being on an adrenaline rush, being a cocky player (which doesn't make him a bad person), I can 'understand' why he went off on a rant. Not promoting the rant of course or saying there was nothing wrong with it, but just saying I 'understand' why he went off.

    Re: Sherman Championship Rant

I played football for eight years on both sides of the ball and from a players perspective let me be the first to tell you that wide receivers are the cockiest, loudest, and most obnoxious players on the field with defensive backs being a very close second. To be a receiver I think takes a certain kind of attitude/mindset that has a very close correlation with arrogance. The same can be said for defensive backs. Since you don't touch the ball every play and in most cases are not apart of the war in the trenches both positions are very hot and cold. So to be successful on either side you must carry a high degree of confidence. So in all actuality what you guys witness is a wide receiver trying to stay hot and a defensive back trying to cool him down.

To me the postgame rant wreaks of passion. If I'm the Seahawks I slap him on the wrist but praise him in the lockeroom. If I'm the 49ers Crabtree has all the motivation he needs to come back next year ready to go. It's great TV and it's great for the rivalry. Do we want our kids to do this in little league? Well no. But I think it's up to all the players to become ambassadors off the field, because that's where there true character is.

I'm sure if you google'd Richard Sherman you'd find he does charity and volunteer week, most teams make it a requirement. I think at the end of the day he's a good guy. You just have to look past the facemask.

I'm still confused what part of his game makes him a 'cowardly thug'. He's definitely not a coward, and thug doesn't really fit the bill unless you're basing this off the color of his skin. But there's no such thing as modern day racism, right?

The many feuds of Richard Sherman | New York Post

... a history of being a cowardly douche thug.

Blonde, I don't think anyone on these forums has a problem with smack talk or competition. Though it is laughable that some are so insecure as to validate their opinions with "game experience" ... that assumes that other have none. In every sport (including on-line games) there is always a good amount of competitive and friendly banter. Folks that act like Sherman, are eventually relegated to the ban forums (online) and in RL they eventually find themselves standing along (unless they change their attitude, TO) ... and no, receivers aren't collective egomaniacs (though, as I said before, I do not like Crabtree in the least).

Anyway, the proof is in the record/history of classless douche like behavior that epitomizes Sherman. When everyone else is celebrating each other and recognizing great plays ... there's Sherman, showing his ass.

Finally, the pukes that continue to smear this entire thing with racism are the bottom of Cartman's turd bucket, the fecal matter of internet trolls ... they should be ignored and relegated to oblivion for their ignorance, baiting, and filth.

At this point, I think most folks are tired of hearing about Sherman. He's gotten enough stroking to last him a life time. Any more effort spent on him is a waste of time and space.

Oh so, you mean the people on there haven't had their runs ins with the media lol? You use the New York post on Super Bowl week to reiterate your stance that he's a troll an this somehow validates it?!

Also how naive of me to assume that the majority of people on an internet gaming forum haven't played football. This somehow makes me insecure? I know I'm not the only here who's played ball. I was just offering another pov.

As for your last comment I call it how I see it. Just like you did when you created this thread. Poor sportsman? Arguments can made. Asshole? Ok sure. Dumbass? Stanford grad but still not exempt. Cowardly thug? Where/how does that come into play? You start a thread spewing anything you can think of and because I hint at a slightly racist comment I'm a troll?

Don't start no shit won't be no shit. -lil jon
