    Acoustic guitar repair

So I moved into a new place recently and placed one of my stands too close to one of the heating vents which, in conjunction with AZ's dry weather, split the face of one of my Martins right up the center. I have a humidifier I put in it almost always but I guess 2 nights by the vent was enough to crack it.

Can't tell from the pic but it's split below the bridge and above it, most of the way to the sound-hole but not all the way.

Any of you guys who do guitar repair have any advice? Kraker? Heavy? Is this something I could fix myself with some special wood glue or should I leave it to a professional? How much do you think a repair of this nature should cost?

I would find a luthier in your area that is skilled at fixing wood like that. I wouldn't attempt anything like that myself. Honestly, I have never had the issue. Being in FL, I have the opposite problem.

Desert, mang. Winter temps in AZ are typically 30 or lower. It is crazy because it will be 60 in the daytime, then at night it drops down to 20.

Yeah, even worse up here in Flagstaff at 7000ft. During mid-late January it can get down to like -20F during the day. Down in the valley it doesn't get that cold but it does get down below freezing
