Re: Stargate reboot
Loved the tv series ... hated Universe and Atlantis was ok. SG1 rocked.

I loved the first series up until a point, which would most likely be the Ori plot. I liked the new actors they brought in, but the scripts were crap. I never watched Universe. I did like Atlantis especially as it seemed to be taking a different tack from the first series.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Re: Stargate reboot
Fuck yeah! Loved the series, SG1. I enjoyed Atlantis but eventually fell off watching it for one reason or another. Never watched SG Universe. I am definetely looking forward to this reboot. Be interesting where they decide to put these films in relation to the whole stargate cannon. No word on timing yet either. Blah.

Re: Stargate reboot
SG-U was awesome man. I was so pissed when they canceled it.
I heard the already news on Monday and I was so excited. I almost had a nerdgasm. There is something that Stargate has that not a lot of other sci-fi has and I just love it even if it can be corny and low budgety sometimes. They really stepped it up a notch when in the final 2 seasons of SG-1 though. I think that was SG-Us downfall. They decided to up the budget on those shows so much they couldn't afford them and since everyone expected better quality from the then Sci-Fi channel due to the massive success they experienced from Battlestar Galactica they thought everything they touched should look that good which was a mistake.Kanati liked this post

Re: Stargate reboot
I think Universe suffered because they moved away from the stargate and tried to become star trek. They had a hard time trying to make any sense. I lost interest in Universe quickly.

Re: Stargate reboot
Well, the trilogy is being directed and produced by Roland Emmerich & Dean Devlin (The original movie creators, not the tv series). Apparently, they didn't like the direction that the show took the series and have said before that if they make a new movie, it will completely ignore the tv series.
