Also, it's not like a pile of raw chicken livers. Haven't you ever had stuffing made with the giblets?

Full disclosure: I'm not likely to order the chopped liver or the tongue. But I've had them, and I get it. It's just not my preference.

What I don't understand are people who will eat a factory-produced Ballpark Frank or Oscar Meyer Wiener but not even try kosher tongue cured on-site. That's like eating scrapple or head cheese, but thinking bacon is gross.

No. The only liver i've every eaten was in bootcamp. So i have no idea what particular animal it was from and i know no amount of mustard can actually kill the taste.

You should figure out what animal your livers are coming from.

I love the taste of poultry liver, but I find mammal livers absolutely revolting.

Leg cant be fixed the damage is permanent and degrading. In fact the va about a month ago sent back the denial for my claim that i've been waiting for. Now its in the hands on an attorney thats going for 100% disability back pay to 1995. The new one was was an ig hernia. I guess the body figured the shoulder was feeling a bit better so why not fuck it all up.

On the upside i finally went around after 20 years and got my handicap permit. Now i get to park up front.

Best of luck with the legal issues. From the sounds of it you're more than deserving of medical coverage/compensation, especially after that one doc kept telling you it was all in your head.

And that handicapped parking should come in handy. My buddy broke his foot a few years back and got a temporary handicapped parking thing. When we'd hang out or go out to eat, it was always nice when he offered to drive

Well did you go or not?

I looked at their menu. They have knish, which means someone is at least trying. They have kugel, and borscht, which tells me that this is at least partly eastern European or Russian-style Jewish.

The picture of bagel and lox on their breakfast menu is encouraging: capers - check. red onion - check (but deduct one point for thick rings rather than shaved). bagel - poppy/sesame combo? Bah.

Bonus points for having a picture of eggs Benedict. I love eggs Benedict, but it's also one of those things that most places don't do very well. Proper hollandaise is a pain to make and doesn't last, so the vast majority of places use a lesser form. Properly poaching eggs is also the sort of thing that most lunch counters won't do. Having been on both sides of the counter I completely sympathize. Proper eggs Benedict takes skill and time that most places can't afford on a dish that's less commonly ordered by clientele that generally don't want to pay more for it. But having really good eggs Benedict is one of those things that - for me - is a hallmark of a truly great place.

They have most of the deli classics - including tongue, Guyver, in case you change your mind - and I'm giving more bonus points for having a great NY reference sandwich name, the "Al Lewis". Any deli in Texas with "The Woody" or "The Sinatra" on the menu learned about NY from watching movies and can't be trusted (some of the names on the menu are kinda cheesy though).

So give it up, White. You started the thread, and found the place. Where is the payoff? Is it good or not?
