Re: You lose your best friend.
Thanks all....She was awesome.
She had a cancerous tumor removed from her leg a year and a half ago. I was pretty sure I was going to lose her then, so every day since has been a bonus. For the last few months, she had a rattle in her throat, and I pretty much figured her cancer was back, and likely in her lungs, however, she never acted sick. She ate every day, and played every day including her last. I couldn't have asked for a better friend. A guy doesn't realize how big of a hole they leave until they're gone.
Every day seems a bit easier, but it sure is quiet around here. We'll have to fix that.

Roxy set the bar pretty high for the next pup, but I'm looking forward to a new little sidekick.

Re: You lose your best friend.
That's horrible Sly. Losing your dog is rough as all Hell. It's amazing the hole they leave when they go. You had no idea how ingrained they become in your day to day life. The first week is the worst, but you'll get through it. My condolances.
Just know that he will always be with you, and you gave him a GREAT place to be a dog. No words can take the pain away, but it will subside with a little bit of time.
R.I.P. Star.
