Re: the irony of iraq and the bible (and how the U.S. Will triumph!!)

It's just that religion is something that many people are opposed against, or are way defensive against, it's like a 10% chance that someone will be able to tolerate someone else's religion, talking about religion in a public, culturally diverse forum is just kind of stupid- this thread had bad written all over it.
Even the mere MENTION of religion seems to cause problems...

Just like politics, it's a difficult thing to discuss on forums and stuff unless you're a really open-minded knowledgeable person... usually religion and politics discussions are kept off forums, and for a reason.

Just a lesson everyone should learn.
Forum usage 101.

Oh wow, Sacred's post looks just mine, I just now read it.

Look, it's okay to have a belief. It helps the human understanding things, doing things.

Because I don't believe in god, I'm not a bad person, or a "European snob".
I could tell you a few facts about the American people, but I don't. I respect you all. I'm not an Atheist or whatever, I have no religion. Still, I have an opinion.
fair enough.....let's go through your actions in this post.

it start off with some cheesy chain letter about iraq, and prophecy, and old religious texts like the Bible and Koran.

Your FIRST POST, is

#1. Jesus did exist. Maybe he wasn't a god, or your god, but the fact remains, he was there. It's a fact. You can "believe" he didn't....but that makes you the idiot who ignores facts, and NOT the christians.

#2. What's the point, gore? The original post was about spooky verses and religious prophecy. I don't even recall reading the WORD jesus, much less anything about jesus in the original post......so again........why the "jesus doesn't exist" comment?

After my brain did some analysis.....the only reasoning behind your comment was to be a Euro-prick, and hardcore "look at me, I'm an athiest, I'm smart and cool" person. A "Euro-trash athiest snob". A typical one at that.

Rude, ignorant (in respects to the history of the issue), and OFF TOPIC. It's not a post about "love jesus. Jesus makes peace. Love jesus and the middle east will have peace. Muslims make war. Christians make peace".........that's NOT THE TOPIC.

If it is the topic now, that's because YOU made it that with teh bullshit "there is no jesus" rhetoric.

it's just pointless. Start a religious war when this was a stupid chain letter, email spam post about dumb verses and prophetic coincidences.

Prove to me that your "jesus doesn't exist" post was actually provoked by anything here.....show me WHY you had to say that.

And don't give americans a lecture about "free speech" and "free opinion". We know what that means, and it doesn't mean oppressing muslims in work, school, and immigration, with the European Union as a whole doesn't seem to have a problem with. France anyone? Germany coming up next. England already there.

"freedom of speech" only works is those who are speaking have something worth saying. Otherwise it's just a bunch of "I farted" and "pooply dooply" and "look at me" and "there is no jesus" pointless comments.

the funny thing is.......that the chain letter just connects certain things that are mentioned in the bible to Iraq, and then has a false excerpt from the Koran (i do wish it was true) and links it all about how the u.s. military will triumph in Iraq, which it will........but i guess as with most things people read way to into it........

oh well....gives me something to look at while I'm at work and while we are at it.

I am pro choice

I am Catholic

I don't attend church that often anymore, but I still recite the hail mary every so often

I have made my communion

I have been confirmed

I plan on getting married in a Church

I support gay marriage - only if both chicks are hot

I am for the death penalty

I have no problem laying claymores on flags

I think all squad leaders and commanders should use microphones

I am for stem cell research

I like Kraft American cheese

I like how atheists try to get their point across when in reality they don't make any real sense....

and this is one of my favorite quotes from the movie bull Durham, if your eyes burn from seeing curse words i will bleep them out but you may in fact learn something from this and the last line works well with women, when you say it with heart and conviction:

Crash Davis: Well, I believe in the soul, the c@ck, the pu#%y, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

You don't wanna hear his belief, we don't wanna hear yours.
Period.
Let's just change the topic back onto how Ziad's comment was unneeded, or drop it, as I don't think it needs much more discussion from us, and more discussion on his part, as to why he randomly busted that out.

he busted it out because that's exactly what a Euro-athiest hater would do. That's what they always do.

just like thost "anti-capitalism" protesters.....or katrina response haters....or whatever.

Don't read what you posted? What?
Posting your opinions on religion won't change anyone elses, or solve anything, it's pretty pointless, if you want something done that's how you don't do it.
I guarantee you we can't change Gore's religion, but we can teach him to at least refrain from having semi-random offensive outbursts like that again.

Re: the irony of iraq and the bible (and how the U.S. Will triumph!!)

Now, if anyone feels that "oh wow it is ironic that all those things happened in iraq" etc, please feel free to post, and if you support the troops please post, but if you don't, i would suggest not posting at all, and if you disagree with what religious beliefs are stated, or if you disagree that i also like to cut the crusts off of my sandwiches sometimes, then make a new topic in the off the topic folder and discuss it there........
