Thread: custom xfire sounds

ever get annoyed by some of the incoming/outgoing message sounds? how about that god-awful ripping sound when you recieve a message in-game?

well, you can change those to whatever sounds you want. get the sound clip you want to use, and copy it into your xfire/sounds folder. then, take the sound you're replacing, and either move it somewhere else, delete it entirely, or rename it. then, rename the file you copy/pasted to the name of the sound you just deleted/moved/altered.

example: the annoying rip sound from recieving in-game messages is igrecv.wav. i moved it to another folder, and copied in moo.wav. then, i renamed moo.wav to igrecv.wav. now i don't have that damn rip sound!!

.... If you can't figure that out on your own anyways.. umm yeah nevermind. Good job I guess.

You can do lots of things editing Xfire's folders.. take a look at my profile. See all those games that says I've played less than an hour? More than half of those games I don't even own. I edited the xfire_games cfg file to detect a different program than the game. So for instance, you can set it to detect firefox.exe or ie.exe, and it will show yourself playing America's Army, or any other game on the list, but you would actually just be browsing the web.

well i knew u could do the sounds but Pwncakes your just stupid only someone like you would figure somthing out like that lol

You can melee him back.

Online, if I were boomer & someone came around the corner then retreated, I would either:

1. Pursue them because I am in gun-ho mood
2. Run & hide, later to attack from a different location
3. Stay around the corner & wait for someone else to come out, due to lack of communication

Creating a "Bully circle" with the Boomer in the middle is always fun.
All 4 of you pushing his fat jiggly ass around is a joy to behold.

That's what i love to do lol, jump down from above as a boomer and land in the middle of them, bound to get atleast 2!

If they are corner camping, I stand JUST outside melee range but inside bile range and they just see me chilling infront of them. If they either

a) run up to hit me ,i puke.
b) shoot me, they all get biled on.

When your a boomer, never puke from the roof tops. 9/10 time you get the magically dissapearing bile.
