Embedding videos into a post

I just wanna know if we can make this possible?

It works like you take the embed code from a video on youtube, then post it here with some html code or whatever, and the video shows up here.

I know, you can just provide a link, but it would be much more easy, and it would look better to just play the video in a post.

Is this possible?

When I search google for this stuff, I see pictures with:

Disable HTML in this post
Disable BBCode in this post
Disable smilies in this post

I've seen this here also, but where did it go?

It takes a lot of server resources to have embedded videos like that and it would also be a little cluttered in my opinion.

Also those options I believe are reserved for web site mods.

I've read that it's youtube or whatever uploading site you use, that are using resources on it. Not this site.

I've made some new videos in the past months, and I just uploaded one on youtube. I stumbled over that embedding video thing, found out what it was, and then I fell in love with it.

If you have photoshop you can make a small video into a picture format and upload it to photobucket, and it would play as a video. Photobucket even offers full blown video uploads for free. You could try that, i have never tried it so i don't know if they offer bb code for video

we have this feature disabled, as well as flash player videos, due to security issues described by the forum creators (SMF).
