Sure, but then you will inevitably have people bitching about the fact the survivors are camping closets and corners. I mean, when playing the regular maps at least they have some incentive to make progress and leave their corners... But here? There is nothing.

It isn't cancelled; it may be on hold... hasn't been mentioned at L4D Mods, though - where darth_brush posts stuff.

However, you may be thinking of when it was initially intended to be a map for No More Room In Hell - that idea was scrapped to make it a L4D map.

A few things...

First, I can't wait !!!!

We have always got to remember they are not charging for this , still giving us extra , even though they are mostly using current maps. But hey this is def in the right direction and I am sure there will be more on the horizon.

They have also set a sort of ground rule (like they did with TF2) and if they do charge for DLC in the future I think we can expect lots of new, new stuff. Otherwise small blobs of free 'extensions' to current is fine by me ..

because... the SDK is gonna change the ball game completely. I'm no level master - but I'm almost creaming my jeans on the huge possibilities out there with a blank sheet !
Zombies dropping from the skies, levels covered in traps, pure survival levels ... god soooo much... the imagination is the limit (ok - so it has to do with zombies - but thats cool ;-)

I believe the PC version will have survival achievements. Unfortunately, Micro$oft require that all DLC that adds achievements must be paid for, so Xbox players may not get the new achievements.
