    Website Stats

This sticky is a progress report for TTP. More like a monthly "guess what record we broke" thread.

    The more it's bumped...the better we're doing.

    Re: Website Stats

July, 2007, TTP crossed the 10,000 unique IP mark with 10,320 unique visitors.

Also, we blew our previous pageview record of 294,000 out of the water with 347,622 hits.

This was reported by our site trackers (2142topsites, backed up by cstop100, etc).

    Re: Website Stats

July of 2007 also gave us our best month ever in the forums with...
    http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?action=stats

1812 new topics (431 more than the previous month)
24193 posts (4695 more than the previous month)
217 new registered members (up from our previous record of 208 in May 2007)

and ......54 users online at once...our new record (discounting the previous month, which was inflated by bot guests).

    Re: Website Stats

    August of 2007

Again, TTP had a record month: 11191 unique users, 357407 total page views (that's ~32 pageviews per user).

The last week of August was a record week for unique users, with 2624.

September 6th, however, is our current daily record for users and pageviews. 414 users, with 15567 total pageviews.

    Re: Website Stats

    Once again, a record month.

    September 2007
    New record for topics: 1821
    New record for posts: 26263
New record for most online: 60

    According to our site trackers
    http://2142topsites.com/index.php?a=stats&u=bigdog

We set a new record with unique IP's for September with 11,706 and a total page view count of 420,721. That's 36 page views per individual user, our highest "reader" value yet.

Our past 10 weeks and 10 months have shown a stable upward trend in unique users and total page views. Keep in mind, the graphs are backwards, where the left axis is yesterday, and the right access it 9 days ago.

    Re: Website Stats

    And...once AGAIN, a record month.

In october, the first week set our weekly page view record 105,855. Our weekly unique page view record (per the 2142topsite stats), was set last week, at 2,998.

October set a new record for unique users per month, just like every month before it. TTP now draws in >12,000 unique users a month, averaging ~400 a day.

We didn't set any records in post counts, new user registrations, most online, or new topics.....but we matched the previous month, which is pretty decent considering school coming back into full swing, and some of the technical issues during october.

    either way, we rock.

Left 4 Dead DLC - More information!

    1) Versus Mode
    - The Survival Pack will open up Dead Air and Death Toll to versus play.

    - Tweaks have been made to allow for more competitive play – survivor camping spots have been removed and new infected spawn areas have been added.

    - In Death Toll, the woods around the town have been thickened to make them a darker, scarier, and ultimately deadlier place for survivors.

    2) Additional Updates
    - A patch with a few minor matchmaking fixes will deploy shortly before the Survival Pack becomes available to download, some time this month or next.

    - SDK will be released simultaneously with DLC, before April 21

    - Valve will launch “matchmaking 2.0.” This will have more impact on Steam than 360, since Valve maintains the PC servers in-house and has mountains of data on ragequits to cull through.

    - Chet was vague when pressed for details about the new matchmaking system, saying only that if you look at the game’s forums you can get a pretty good idea of what needs to be done. (I guess it's Looking 4 Four system).

    - “We still play our games, and we want to keep them updated,” he stated.

    3) Achievements
    - Microsoft’s official policy is that new Achievements can only be included with paid DLC. There will be no achievements for 360 players.

    - Brighter side: It looks like we will probably have new achievements on PC!

    4) Critic's edition + DLC

    - Valve announced a new Critic’s Choice Edition of Left 4 Dead, which will ship on April 21 and contain the full game and DLC on the disc.

    - The downloadable Survival Pack will be released for download at some point before that, adding survival mode and the two new versus campaigns (Death Toll and Dead Air).

    5) Survival Mode

    - Survival mode will be playable on 16 maps, 15 of which are culled from the existing campaigns’ crescendo moments and finales. The final survival map is the new original creation, “Lighthouse”.

    5.1) Survival Mode Gameplay
    - Survival mode goes straight for the jugular. It made for a quick jump-in-and-play experience.

    - “It’s vital that survival time is based on skill level, and not just having a point where suddenly everyone goes off a cliff,” Chet explained.

    - You get only one health pack each (but you can find Pills etc.), and ultimately there are no happy endings. You are going to die, and all that remains will be your best time posted to the global leaderboard. The entire team gets the same score, so there’s extra incentive to help each other out.

5.2) Survival Mode - Levels Design
    - You start survival mode in a zombie-free map that’s been stocked with heaps of weapons, explosives and items.

    - The horde won’t descend until you alert it. This gives you a chance to stock up on supplies, strew explosives around the place and strategize with your teammates.

    - Minor modifications have been made to suit the flow of carnage in survival play. For example, in the No Mercy elevator crescendo, many of the rooms around the elevator doors are off-limits until the mob breaks through the walls to open them up.

    - Like in versus maps, areas that are overly favorable to the survivors have been altered or removed, so teams won’t be able to rack up easy time by closet camping.

    - Crossing certain time thresholds earns the team medals. The time needed to earn a medal will vary from map to map, but will be in the range of 4, 6 and 8 minutes for bronze, silver and gold respectively.

#2 - Valve play some more Lighthouse Survival

    Points of Interest:

    - Poster for 'The Last Stand'

    - The Tank will be accompanied by a horde... no more 'kiting'!

    - As you survive deeper into the level you can expect two Tanks at once

    - Smokers can grab a survivor and pull him through the airport’s metal detectors, thereby setting off an alarm that brought the horde.

    - As of 07/03/09, the best time achieved in Survival Mode is just over 9 minutes.

This interests me massively. Does this mean that ragequitters are going to have a harder time finding games? I do hope so... this would make me a happy bunny indeed.

    Hallelujah.
