One buff I'm really waiting for is the Witch. She's a fucking joke now. People mostly don't even try and go around her. It's like, shoot her, get incapped, let your teammates kill her ass, get revived, heal and there we go! Job done!
They should do two things to the Witch:
-make her kill a survivor in one strike. Not incap, but kill, just like on Expert.
-to compensate that and to give the survivors a chance not to sacrifice a player every time you encounter one, they should make it so she only spawns in areas where you can go around and avoid her, or if she can't be avoided, make sure you see her from far enough so you can all aim weapons and unload so she drops before she reaches you.
Players should be discouraged to mess with the Witch without knowing how to handle her correctly. If you're sure you can crown with no mistakes, crown her, if you don't want to take the chance, go around or eliminate her from a distance. But this 'get incapped on purpose, kill her, heal and go on' shit needs to stop. It's ridiculous.

Yeah i like that idea Witch is suppose to be a glass cannon 1 hit kill like expert would be awesome.
Shes still easy to crown and kite while your team shoot her, The counter for her being so easy to kill is her killing you easy that is how the glass cannon works.
She's a glass potatoe peeler at the moment

I just had a random (and probably shit) idea with the Witch... what if startling her (with all the screaming and whatnot) spawned a mediumish sized horde?
That would make it a lot harder to kite her and make a damned good opportunity for the SI's to take advantage of the survivors trying to deal with her.
This would be even better if she went after more than 1 target; like say, after 5 seconds of running about like she does she locked onto the nearest survivor.
The way she was touted before release was sort of "fuck with her and you're dead"... and I think it should be almost that.Mature-Gamers.com

I agree a bit with the witch, but if the infected sets up by her she still becomes a nice asset. I also don't know if this was a glitch but today as I was being attacked by the witch a teammate came up to shoot her and got incapped as well by her swings at me. I never new she can attack more than one person at a time, if they added that it is a nice buff for her. As for flaming hunter I saw a survivor die in 20 seconds from one so, I don't mind the nerf just means you have to play with some skill even when on fire rather than just get a quick pounce for damage.

Great point! Too many players want to just dominate as special infected with a 3 second attack, but a good strategy requires some time for the SI to do some damage.
Also, I say combine both ideas of the witch. Have her screams cause a horde and have her hit be a kill, rather than an incap. THAN people will REALLY want to avoid her

They want to dominate because the survivors aren't surposed to survive for the whole level as much as they do. Listen to the developer commentary, the idea was to make it extremeley difficult to complete a level with all four survivors, that's why there is such a huge different in score from when you make it and when you don't. As for the Witch suggestion, that would be pretty darn awesome.

The witch and tank both need to switch target after they incapacitate a survivor.
The witch more so than the tank. I dont understand how she does 1 hit for instant incap but then suddenly her damage drops to like 5 and she takes all day long to claw someone to death.
Id much prefer she continue running around and 1 hit incap the other survivors

Um the reason for that is that the upward swipe delivers 100 damage and when your downed you have more health. You have 250 incapped last time I checked so it would make it harder for her to kill you. I do agree with you though, The witch should be this angel of death that means if shes atartled someones gonna get messed up kiting her is too easy aswell, give it and instant kill for headshot and then about 2000hp so that unless theres 3 auto shopttys on her the guys dead.

Just some corrections-
Downed survivors start with 300HP, and the tank ALWAYS had 6000HP in versus. Whoever thinks otherwise is wrong.
Flaming hunters, as far as I can tell, do no additional damage now. I believe this to be a bug, because Valve reported that fire was reduced to 3 dps from 10dps. Still worth it, imo, if I actually saw that damage being dealt. Works in campaign, but not in versus.
Witches are a great way to eat a health pack, and sometimes result in the death of a team if you're lucky. You just have to protect them with good teamwork.
Pre-release, the game was a lot harder. One thing I know they changed is that the witch USED TO change targets after taking down one survivor, eventually capping the whole team if she wasn't killed quickly.
The fact that tanks can now move through crouched areas without moving at -10 mph is a great thing, as well as the increased smoker tolerance and ability to hit more than one survivor at a time (if they're close enough) as tank. They really need to figure out this flaming hunter business, though.
