Useful post GET!
This guy is on the right track, although I was thinking of the loose term "Router". Whether you choose to Go Wireless or Wired and achieve simultaneous connectivity (Internet on both XBOX and PC, for the laymans) you need to purchase a Router.
What's a Router?
What a Router does is essentially "Split" your "Internet connection" into different facets if you will, meaning more than one device (i.e: XBOX 360, PC, Laptop, etc) can share your Internet connection at no additional cost.
Where can I get one?
These devices are available usually at any store which sells electronics, here are a few examples:
- BestBuy
- WalMart
- Various Office Supply Chains
- Ebay
What are some good Brands?
Some typical Small Office / Home Office (SOHO for short) Router brands are:
- Linksys (#1 IMHO)
- D-Link
- NetGear
NOTE: there are tons of different other brands available, but these are the top three that came to mind.
Using the Wireless Method
If you want to go the Wireless Way, most Routers on the shelf today are equipped with 802.11b/g Wifi capabilities (it can connect things that are wireless to your Internet) and they usually come with a built-in 4-Port Ethernet Switch (Where the "Internet Cord" from your PC plugs into).
You then need the overpriced XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter.
That's all the basic equipment you need really, if you run into any trouble consult Google.com
To Summarize...
1) Buy a Router (for example: Linksys - 2.4GHz Wireless-G Access Point)
2) For Wireless: See step one above and Buy this: XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter
3) Use Google for Troubleshooting (Applies to anything, not just Routers)

Wireless i dont want lol, dont ask me why but i like the wired never had any problem with it so i trust it to 100%
Also router sucks for me since i have so much things hosted on my server computer as i said beforeHate that i need to open ports each time
But the thing with switch i really liked that sounds like something for me
Idk i live in sweden and switch here is a hub i think not sure tought, but i think hub and switch is the same thing
Wasent sure if a hub/switch would works first, but i guess it does, costs 15$ here, if that will work that is what im gonna buy

We're practically talking about the same device here
. Nowadays the terms Router and Switch are used interchangeably when referring to what's in stores today.
Also I find it pretty alarming that you are hosting a server not behind a Router of some kind. Get attacked much?
