Re: Michigan vs Notre Dame
What's the point, Michigan lost twice and that means no national or big ten title or Rose bowl. Only games worth even caring about, because they detest me, are ND, Ohio State and Michigan State. I grow up ten minutes from Ann Arbor as a diehard Michigan fan, but lets face it two loses or even one loss ruins a season. But for the sake of this question, GO Blue.

I dunno buddy, their national title hopes are gone for sure. No one who loses to App. State is going to play for the title. However Michigan can still win out and play for the big 10 title....although it seems unlikely that they will go undefeated from here on out.

Re: Michigan vs Notre Dame
You need a season like this though to get rid of Carr. If Michigan had a decent season, it makes it hard to leave... now, it's a foregone conclusion.
It sucks, but you gotta fight though it. Besides, you still have the Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons.

Re: Michigan vs Notre Dame
Well at least at this point I am the only vote for ND. The question was "who needs it more." Well from my perspective if the Irish don't win I think I'll cause myself a serious injury. With no hopes of a championship win gotta beat Mich and USC, and that hasn't happened in quite a while. I grew up in Chicago and played under Holtz for 1year before blowing out my knee. Trust me I'm realistic but I don't think I can take another performance like I've seen the last two weeks!
Interesting Stats:
- This game will mark the first meeting in the long history of the Notre Dame-Michigan series that both teams enter the game unranked (since polls were instituted in 1936) ... it is also the first all-time meeting when both schools were 0-2.
- Michigan is one of only two school's that own a winning record against Notre Dame (based on a minimum of five all-time meetings). Florida State is the other program
- The average margin of victory has been just 4.0 points over the span of the all-time series. Take away the 2004 and 2006 meetings and the average margin of victory is 2.3.
