09-18-07, 12:58 AM #1Banned Anonymous: The 12 step program.
DISCLAIMER: CivilWars is not an admin, moderator, or in any other position of power. He is just a big smart @$$ like almost everyone else on the server. Please seek professional advice before applying any of these steps to your personal ban situation!!!
If you're like me you love nothing more at the end of the day than reclining in your big leather executive chair, kicking back, and popping open an ice cold....banned thread. In order to help those in need I decided to put up this 12 step program to get unbanned. Please do not move to the next step until you complete the first to be most effective.
1. Admit that someone else has a problem - We know you have no clue why you got banned, so just tell us that in the first place.
2. State that all powers higher than you have no sanity - We know the admins could not have been in their right mind to ban you. Explain to them how idiotic it was.
3. Refuse to change - You never did anything wrong in the first place, s why would you ever need to change.
4. Take inventory of what everyone else did - The only reason this happened is because someone else wronged you in the first place. If all else fails blame your parents.
5. Admit to God, yourself, and another human being that you will fight this to the death - Never give up, never give in.
6. Make justifications for all defects of play - There was obviously a legitimate reason to do what you did, or else you would not have done it, right?
7. Boldly ask admins to overlook your faults - Why shouldn't the server have rules that conform to your style of play?
8. Make a list of all persons that have wronged you - Once completed blame them for everything they did to justify your actions.
9. Seek vengeance - Use the list from step 8 to exact your own revenge.
10. Continue to deny any and all wrongdoing - Confession is for chumps, hold your ground.
11. Blame God - He made you this way, so if we have a problem with it we should take it up with Him.
12. Spread the word - Take your message to every other server, forum, chat room ,and outhouse known to man. Find others to help you fight the good fight.
For those of you that know nothing about AA please click here, http://www.recovery.org/aa/misc/12steps.html, to see why this is humorous (to me at least).
For those of you that are/were involved in AA this is in no way intended to degrade or humiliate you.
For those of you that find yourself banned, and you actually took the time to search the forums before posting, doing this will usually take your ban from temp to perm faster than you can blink, but it sure is fun reading sometimes.

it's inevitable...someone will word for word follow these...and then plaster shit all over the other forums of how we dicked them over when they followed the exact rules...that's kinda funny..GREAT...see what you started...GHEEZ!

Nice post Civil. One of the highlights of my Monday mornings is getting to work and then checking out the banned forums here to see what happened over the weekend. There's usually some good fiction being written on the banned forums by the banned.
