Now we all know playing the game on easy isn't really beating the game.

I just got Halo 3. It is without a doubt the most beautiful game I have ever played. It is so beautiful. It's art. Some like Rembrandt, Picasso, Van Gogh. I like Halo 3 created by Bungie.

Everything in Halo 3 is beautifully detailed. The Master Chief is exquisite in the video scenes. The Arbiter is extremely detailed. Jackals look so much better. The Brutes have little headdresses that you can shoot off, exposing their horrible ugliness. Grunts have become skilled grenade throwers and are much more lethal. You can truly become overwhelmed if there are enough of them. Cortana repeatedly shows up on the Master Chief's hud and says randomn cryptic messages. In the very beginning she says that she got to choose which Spartan she would be partners with: and she chose the Master Chief because of his luck. It then shows the Master Chief falling 2km and survive because his armor is built so well. She asks soon after "if he could really watch her die." Trees are very present in the first level and can be used to jump off of to travel or maneuver.

Remember the days of one head shot and he's down? Not any more. You can snipe a brute in the head and his helmet and shield will usually save him from death. It is without a doubt much more challenging and all the more entertaining. The HUD has been reworked so it is easier to see how much ammo you have and what your secondary weapon is. A little alarm goes off when you are running low on ammo. The Pelicans are much more detailed and you even see two get shot down from up close in the first level in-game. Some of the complexes that you go through are very intricate and detailed. You can even shoot through the grating in the floor (or roof) to hit enemies that aren't paying attention.

The sound is aboslutely amazing. You can hear battles going on in different parts of the map, complete with explosions, gun shots, calls for help, and Marines trash talking the Covenant. And the grunts are more annoying than ever before. They cry for help, trash talk, and just in general make you want to kill something with the stupid little noises they make. They are like those eight year old kids who show up on the server once in a while and you just want to say, "I'm sorry but you have to grow some balls or be a woman to play in this squad."

Overall, the level of detail in this game is astonishing. The building complexes are extremely well thought out and detailed. It is simply awe inspiring to look up during a lull in the ever-going battles and just admire the architecture. And the story is extremely well thought out and at times the dialogue and the movies in between the levels are just chilling. At one point, the Prophet of Truth sends a communique to the human forces and says that when the Covenant has finished the Earth will be glass. If you have an Xbox 360 go get this game. If you don't have a console, go find a friend who does. This is simply a game that can not be missed.

That all sounds pretty cool, I played Halo2 at college with my roomate.

It's a shame though because personally I just find a console controller to be a far inferior tool for gaming than the old mouse and keyboard. That means this is one masterpiece I will never even try, even though I really would consider it otherwise.

i am gonna buy a 360 just for this game i swear, just reading this well thought out post makes me want to kill a baby for not being able to play this game
