Re: Whos Going Hunting?
Im a huge hunter! Go every year for dove, quail, whitetail, hog....pretty much everything. And my girlfriends dad said that i could hunt out at their place. Saw one out there the other day that was a 10 point with a spread at least 4 inches outside his ears, so im looking to bag that sucker. What is your hunting weapon of choice. I have a .25 06 that i use most of the time, but im also a big fan of my .243 Winchester.

Re: Whos Going Hunting?
I dont dick around I use a Remington Model 700 BDL DM chambered in .300 Win Mag
Other than that for Javelina and Coyotes I use my Weatherby Vangaurd .22-250. Im getting almost 4000fps out of my dads reloads with that thing, so much fun. Are you in Texas Cleric? Ive been looking for someone to hunt with out there, I would love to take a Texas Whitetail. Our whitetail are very small, a big dear weighs in around 100lbs at the most. Sadly I have only taken 2 deer out here and both were spikes, it seems I either dont see any bucks, they are too far away or I get real jumpy. "Buck Fever" runs in the family. Here are a couple pics of my dads big Mule Deer he took in '81.
And what the hell, my first Mule Deer...now I was 12 at the time, so no thats now what I look like
And me and my Weatherby
Anyways I love hunting, its kinda hard to get out in the field a lot from Phoenix, the areas close by are overrun with people on the weekends and it takes a couple hours to get away from the popular places and that costs money in gas and such. My truck gets 11mpg but I love it and will never part with it.
