Beer Time
to be 18 again and think that a 30 was the best beer you could get.
With age you learn thats the best BEER VALUE, but its not the best tasting.
Me and Gee were sipping on Session from FullSail Brewery. It was awesome.SmokenScion liked this post

But the 6 beers I sipped on odawgg's tab, plus the lack of dinner equals a great time talking with Mr. ands Mrs. Dawgg after meeting up with Mr. and Mrs. STJ.

Voice Transmit Volume option not available
I did a search on "Voice Transmit Volume" and nothing came up so I hope I'm not repeating an already existing question.
I finally got my brother-in-law's mic working but the voice transmit volume option is not available under his options menu while it is with mine. When I test his mic in the game the test meter barely moves. When I test it within the Steam engine, the meter easily moves almost all the way. I'm not sure why there is such a difference in the mic levels between the two mic tests. I'm not sure if the fact that the Voice Transmit Volume option being grayed out is an indication of anything. It would imagine that if it was available that I could up his transmit level and things would be more clear.
Another interesting thing is that his character online always seems to have the speech bubble on (even when he is not talking). Does this mean that the mic sensitivity is too high but what is transmitting is so low that nobody can hear it?
He is using his onboard Realtek high definition audio for the mic. I checked to make sure the driver was up-to-date. I'm now at a loss of what else to check.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Realteks are a pain...
you probably have to change the voice input to line in on it.
control panel (classic view) > sounds and audio devices > device volume - advanced (button) > master volume - options > properties > choose device > choose recording > then hit ok > check line in (might also hit advanced and engage the +20db boost)

As promised I'd let you know if this works. He now has better voice levels but it is also a more noisy voice path. If you can tune out the white noise it is nicer to be able to hear him in the game. I'll need him to play with the levels to see if we can reduce the noise. Thanks for the help.
