    FRAPS... questions.....

Okay, so I finally got around to messing with Fraps a little bit today... and for some reason when I record footage off of a demo it looks great(and also looks great played back in windows media player), but when I upload the footage to premiere pro, it looks like complete garbage(blurry, etc)..... even after rendering....

I noticed the raw clip sais' 1024 x 768 , and when I opened up Premiere, I started the new project under NTSC 720 x 480..... does anyone here know what I am doing wrong............?

    thanks in advance-

NTSC is right, give me a screen shot of the project settings? It would help a lot.

    Re: FRAPS... questions.....

I've played around with FRAPS and Window Media maker a bit myself and I have more questions than answers... Every movie I make always looks worse than the raw footage I record with FRAPS. I would also like to know if there is a way to improve the finished products look. Do I need to record in 60 fps? What's the optimum resolution when I record? Why won't it record sound when I use my USB headphones? What's the best format to save the project as for uploading to a website?

Sorry for adding more questions to this thread than answers...

here is a screenshot... as you can see the footage looks pretty blurry... I tried recording in all the different fps's in fraps, and nothing really made a difference...?>.?././

Are there any settings for importing the video? Also what's in Playback Settings?

That looks about like it was scaled to something lower than 720x480 and then back to it.

nope, no settings for importing the video, that i can find....... I know when I download footage off of my video camera... there are settings for that, but the footage form CSS is recorded on fraps, and I cannot find any setting in the fraps program.....

Make sure you just open up a new document and selecting the film you want. That puts all your settings to that of the video.

    That could be your problem.
