taste in music
It's sort of like this for me...
30s and before: Ack wat flappers!
40s - 50s: Big band is awesome.
60s: Lots of good stuff. Hippies + pot + LSD = good music and nothing else!
70s: Zeppelin!
80s: Let's not talk about this k? thx! (exception: Van Halen)
90s: All my favorite songs are from the 90s. Naturally this is because I grew up during this time.
00s: music = killed. The earth is darkened by clone armies with names like "Hawthorn Heights", "Fall Out Boy" and the like. These clones were genetically altered with identical voiceboxes, hair, and eyemakup. Their lyrics are restricted to cheesy and thinly veiled jabs at the President. The musical earth rests in turmoil, waiting for a savior.

theres still nothing wrong with Fall Out Boy. that dude can sing his ass off and if you knew anything about writing or playing music you would appreciate their shit. a very misjudged and underrated band.
Hawthorn Heights is another story.... a shittier less talented story.

EMO....LMAFAO....
There are a lot of good bands in the 00's though, just not always mainstream. I actually find the brits to have better taste than us north americans, so I watch to see what's on their charts and check it out... Indie bands rock!
Still, Pink Floyd owns everyone, there is no other and will be no other better band to ever exist! The consistency of their albums (until Watters left) is amazing... Plus you have to try listening to Dark side while watching Wizard of Oz (original version)..... Insane!
