OMG that sounds delicious. My mouth is watering! You should order one, in fact I WILL order one for this Thanksgiving. I am ordering it as I speak. My friends folks had one awhile back, and it was so delicious (mostly because they have a cajillion dollar spit to slow roast it on). I'll probably throw this in my smoker to cook and hopefully it will work good.
I think it was the Romans or something, were during a feast they'd do something similiar, just on a bigger scale. I'm not exaclty sure what the animals were, but I know atleast it was a rodent stuffed in a pheasnt, that was stuffed in a larger bird, that was stuffed in a larger animal, that was stuffed in a pig, that was stuffed in a cow. Imagine how juicy and delicious that rodent would taste after this was slow cooked on an open fire spite for god knows how many hours.
**Edit** I am getting the Turducken with Seafood Jambalaya. It has shrimp, crawfish, and rice stuffed between the birds. Oh, god, I can't wait.

As a side note, Cajun Grocer is the shizzle. I order Cajun Pork Tasso ever so often from them for a few recipes that really don't work without it. Can't wait until we get our house and set up a smoker to make my own! mmmmmmmmm.
Just about everything I order from them shows up fast and fresh, so they're a good source if you wanna try the Turducken Roll.

I used to be a serious chef, and before I turned veggie I had the fortunate circumstance of working with a chef from New Orleans who made a turducken for the staff Christmas dinner at this restaraunt I worked at. It was fucking delicious.
Duck fat is hands down the best fat so when you saturate your turkey with duck and chicken fat... mmmmmm good! Only way it could get better would be to incorporate some bacon into it!

Re: Turducken anyone?
Whatever you do, make sure the birds are fresh.
This goes for your normal turkeys.
Freezing the bird tears the cellular walls, letting all the juice run out of the meat when it thaws. This is why you get dull, bland bird, and need a lot of gravy.
Order early, buy fresh, and mesquite smoke that puppy. I guarantee you will never have a bird so tender.
