The cure to "Scroogeness"
Hey,
Holiday seasons comin up and i was wondering what some people do to get in the spirit. I know a lot of people will say they put up the tree and play music, but i want some unique things. For me its been more and more difficult to get in the spirit. I remember when i was young and still was visited by Santa. I haven't been able to match that feeling since. I feel that the way the country is going, people are getting robbed of joy that us as kids used to have.
I heard a elementary school just had a field trip cancelled to go see "Miracle on 34th Street" because the principal said it had too strong of a Christmas theme. So schools are stripping down all the holiday stuff so they don't upset people. I'm glad i was raised before this all started because i remember being involved in singing Feliz Navidad, Oh Holy Night, We wish you a Merry Christmas, and all those songs. We even sang Dradle! Dradle! Dradle!.
SO....suggestions/experiences/etc, if you celebrate Hanukkah(or any other holiday), let us know how you get into the spirit!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We did the same when I was in school. We sang songs for everything though, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and of course some of our classics. But I too have yet to really find something to really get me in the spirit. I'm the youngest in my family and I'm 21 and we just don't get into as much. We still do the decorations and all, even have this little pyramid we picked up in Germany, looks something like this:
I think part of it for me though is we no longer get a real tree, we have a fake one and it just isn't the same to me since you don't have that fresh cut pine smell and we don't go to the tree farms like we use it. I enjoyed that and it helped me get into the spirit more.
We still have some of our traditions though. Ever year we make Christmas cookies and frost them, my have a few CDs we listen to every year, and there is always a fire on Christmas day no matter how how it might be.
Part of the problem I have though is so many people start decorating way too early and they show Christams movies before Thanksgiving, and you really can't say Merry Christmas or celebrate much at school any more because it is not "politically correct" any more, it's "Happy Holidays". I'm fine with acknowledging other holidays and celebrating them and all, but when we can't say Merry Christmas without some people getting all bent out of shape over it, it's really hard to get back into the spirit each year.

To get in the spirit I give to total strangers and charities. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Giving to soliders is a sure-fire path to fuzziness. There are web sites with instructions how.

Keiron,
The "little pyramid" is an Advent Wreath. The windmill versions are fairly popular in Germany.

Looking for a Decent active clan.
Hi,
As the title says I'm looking for a fairly good clan that plays Various games, I mainly play on the following games;
Steam name : S0ul_e4t4r
CoD
CoD:MW2
L4D
L4D2
TF2
I'm 20 years old, fairly experienced in all of the above, but my friend Hacked my CoD:MW2 so I'm prestige lv.10, but I'm reseting soon to level originaly, again T_T.
I'm pretty much well knowlledged in L4D and L4D2, I can do Realism Expert and, only thing I got to work on is my timing with the hunters when to knock them off, mainly in versus though. I don't mind Competitive online Battles, active most days except for Friday/Saturdays (sometimes), just as long as the Clan is Active, fun and much more.
I also have;
TeamSpeak 2, TeamSpeak 3 and Ventrillo and a mic and not afraid to use it .
-Vprox.
Edit lol.
From England GMT time, male or as far as I know I am one and mature unless I'm in "drunk/hyper" mode ( which is rare)

Hey bro. VAG, very aggressive gamers, are always recruiting. We aren't a huge clan and we don't have an active website, but we're just people who like to get on and mess around. We do have a vent server, so add me at ShadowSlaya360 if your interested in hanging out with us.
