Do you actually play Half-Life 2?

OK, a lot of people that play CSS a lot or all the time hate the actual game of Half-Life 2. Now I love Half-Life 2. I'm a story-fps junkie (Halo 2, Half-Life 1 and 2, Red Faction 1 and 2, MOH) and can't resist dropping the $50 for the game brand-new. I just beat the game today having really just installed it a few weeks ago. It of course looks beautiful even on 640x480 res. I can't wait for Episode 1 to come out so we can continue (or begin) the story. So anyway, do you guys who play CSS and DODS like to play Half-Life 2 or liked it when you played it?

Loved HL, cant wait for Episode 1 either.......If you are playing it in that resolutions and you like it, youd freak if you saw it in a real resolution.....

your'e not a gamer if you haven't played it, you shouldn't even be aloud to play cs.

Ok, If you LIKE Half Life 2 and the story behind it, I have an AWESOME mapset for you guys to play, it's called MINERVA: METASTASIS, it's a level set by an independant coder. There's no added voices or anything, but it's a really awesome side story that parallel's Gordan Freeman, etc.

Hell the fuck yeah Half-Life 2 is the best game to me single player wise. See I was never really into PC games until this bad mofo game came out. I was all wrapped up in the xbox and really did not deviate from the over sized machine. It was all about Halo 2 in xbox live until a year later i decided to upgrade the computer. I was like ok a new vid card which one? and of course i went to buy ATI x800 pro! Then i was like hhmmmm i have this card but what game is gonna look real good. The only other game i had was unreal 2004 and that would run fine on the card i wanted something that would actually use its features. I had heard about the Half Life 2 game for over a year now so i was like ok lets get it. I fell in love with the game i had never played anything like it and the graphics and physics engine just blew me away. Then i was like what is this counterstrike game that came with it. Soon enough i was online and eventually found this badass server. :twisted:

As your gaming mentor, I'm assinging you some required gaming over this summer vacation:

#1. HL1.....even if it looks like shit....doesn't matter. Play it. Live it. Love it.
#2. Chronicles of Riddick.......makes the story and gameplay of just about every other shooter seems like a joke. CoR is so badass, it even got a better score than HL2 did by game media
#3. Doom III......it's mindless, but it will at least give you an aspect of why HL2 is REALLY such a great game. Doom III looks nice.....but it's gameplay is made for kindergartners and FPS relics from the doom II and doom I days......beautiful, and required gaming
#4. Max Payne (1 or 2....or both).
#5. Far Cry. came out just before Doom III and HL2......beat them to the punch with current generation graphics and complexity. Great story, bad ass levels, weapons, and physics (there's also vehicles like jeeps and boats.....bad ass tricks and sweet jumps. Just watch your ass when you get to the volcano)
#6. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Still hearing the music to that game makes me want to cry. I would also recommmend Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 1. Play the originals, though....not the expansion packs.

that should take you a while.
