Hmm, interesting. I wonder if that means they (Blizzard) will start making some good quality games like back in the day. Their games are okay right now, but not nearly as good as they use to be, I'd have to say the same with their customer support.

I doubt we'll see much of a change though, just a new name probably.

I happen like guitar hero... and both Warcraft III and the original Starcraft. I really hope Starcraft II is good.

That's what I was more so referring to though, even if it wasn't that long ago it seems like it. WoW has really gone done hill since it's release and they have yet to release a big title that's good (Blizzard I mean) so I'm hoping SC2 will be just as good as it certainly looks good.

Activision I really haven't had much of a problem with, I was mainly referring to Blizzard. I should have specified that in the initial post.

Actually, the makers of Diablo split off from Blizzard and made Hellgate:London. You should check it out.

Flagship Studios is the new company for the developers of Diablo. And I agree, try out Hellgate: London. Awesome game. Got to beta test it, and played the demo shortly after release. Just have to wait until Christmas to get full retail.

Played on a friends computer, very unimpressed.... And I'm hoping that Diablo III will actually be an MMO. I know people will say that it won't be because of WoW, but Diablo II is still hugely successful, and that I could only see it increasing their number of subscriptions.

The thing is... a lot of players from WoW would cancel their subscriptions to play the new mmo from blizzard. It's just bad for business. If they wait till WoW starts to die down to release it, they'll be more profitable overall with less effort.

    Re: Big news!

From what I understand, HG:L is the equivalent of Diablo III since Diablo is and probably will remain a Blizzard title. So legally, Flagship Studios cannot actually come out with a "Diablo III" without buying the rights from Blizzard first.

And if Blizzard actually makes a Diablo III, I doubt it will be anything as good as the first 2 since the lead designers/developers are with Flagship Studios.
